Patrol Leaders' Council Meeting Minutes for October 25, 2011

I. Attendance
Meeting called to order at 6:42 PM. All patrols were in attendance. Contact sheets (troop rosters) were handed out.
II. Activities since last PLC
A.      Booya on Oct. 2 went well, a few boys showed up, and the booya was sold-out by noon. A big thank you from the Men's Club for the help.
B.      Belt Loop Night (Oct. 3) went very well, thanks from ASM Hugart who organized it for the pack. He agrees that more time will be provided for planning and execution next time this is done.
C.      Biking on Oct. 9 involved several boys, and only one breakdown. They actually came back with more people than set out, because Griffin's dad joined them. More planning would help, because the boys did get a bit strung out at one point.
D.      The local fire station was visited on October 10.
E.       The Fall Camporee (Oct. 21 to Oct. 23) was fun, and the trip to Lilydale to hunt for fossils was praised.
F.       Recruiting Night on Oct. 24 gained the troop three new boys.
III. Reports
A.      Den Chiefs.
1.       John Andert said the Tiger den has earned their Bobcat badges, and worked on decorations for the Halloween pack meeting.
2.       Noah Frese said the 1st year Webelos (Sharks) are working on their Athletics pin.
3.       Thomas Hugart said the 2nd year Webelos (Dragons) and halfway done with their Arrow of Light.
4.       Griffin Backes is willing to be the den chief for the Bears; the cub master and senior patrol leader agree.
5.       John Stafford is willing to consider helping with the Wolf den.
6.       The cubmaster asked if any Karenni boys are willing to be den chiefs for Den 6. None were in attendance, so the patrol leaders should pass this on to them at the next opportunity.
Jacob Hugart will take John Andert, Thomas, and Griffin to Den Chief training in Kaposia district on November 8th.

New website!

Welcome to the new website for Boy Scout Troop 66.  We'll be getting the scouts more involved with maintaining this site, and adding more content, in the next few months.  For now, there's a link to some handy info (like our online calendar) over on the left side of the page.

Stay tuned!
